Led by the playwright, director and filmmaker Ed Edwards of Most Wanted the Rolling Film Project is a linked series of professional-level short films that are written and shot as part of linked series of educational projects for service users of The Calico Group, Change Grow Live and other participating community-based organisations.

Each film is written, produced, shot and distributed as part of an educational course in all aspects of filmmaking led by Ed, supported by BadKamra and other professionals such as actors, production managers, costume/makeup/set designers who are usually involved in the eventual film shoot.
The eventual film-shoot takes place once a script has been written in conjunction with service users as part of the filmmaking course.

Umbilical was shown as part of CALICO GROUP's Creative Waves event where writer's who had participated in Ed's workshops had their work performed by professional actors.
